This particular story, and this particular guest, comes from that time in my life, about 6-7 years ago. I was working as a “campus advocate” for the Zionist Organization of America, Michigan Chapter – and I’d like to point out that I was a contractor and not a full time employee because they didn’t really have a lot of money in their budget for me, and I was paid on the conditions that I would improve the profile of the ZOA from being a hard-right Jewish and Israeli group and help spread the good word about Zionism across college campuses and raise money from younger generations. Hilariously, I made more friends on the “other side” of that debate arena than I did in my own “Jewish community” while in that role.
